This section shows the nutritional value of food, at least the food most known. It has no other pretension but spreading the benefits of vegetables, fruits, legume, spices, herbs, fish, and meats; all of them beneficial for our health.

AVOCADO

This fruit is rich in vitamins E and D and contains a high amount of fiber and minerals. It is a rich source of potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Avocado helps to fortify the bones and works to avoid the formation of intestinal gasses.

BASIL

After being washed and disinfected, basil needs to dry and air out; humidity can promote the growth of fungus. This herb is beneficial to digestion and helps control blood pressure.

BEANS

Beans are high in folic acid. Beans prevent anemia, helps against fatigue and is necessary for the formation of red blood cells.

BEEF STEAK

Steak is a major source of iron and vitamin B12. It is low in carbohydrates and contains the B group of vitamins, zinc, and phosphorus.

BEETS

Beets are an excellent purifier of blood and are used to counteract liver infections. They are considered a natural deterrent to anemia.

CARROT

Carrots are rich in phosphorus and vitamin A, C, B6, and fiber. Its nutritional potency helps improve vision and maintain healthy skin. It is an antioxidant and is good for the digestion and overall health.

CELERY

Celery contains vitamin C and potassium. It works to cleanse the body of liquid toxins

CILANTRO

Cilantro improves and strengthens urinary valve function.

CINNAMON

Cinnamon contains properties that help control gasses, colic and stomach problems. It also helps control weight and burns calories. It contains a compound that makes the cells absorb glucose more rapidly so that it can be converted into energy. It also reduces triglycerides considered bad for the heart and reduces cholesterol.

CHEESE

Cheese is high in proteins, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, and vitamins A and B12. It works toward preventing osteoporosis. Goat cheese has a highly nutritional value than cheese that is made from cow’s milk.

CHERRY

The cherry is rich in essential oils, is a diuretic and help blood circulation.

CHILLI PEPPER

Chile is a natural stimulant – it stimulates the appetite. Be sure to disinfect dry peppers for no more than 5 minutes, as it can lose its aroma and consistency. The bell pepper combats intestinal gas inflammation, and helps against nasal congestion, bronchitis and asthma.

Chicken is an excellent source of protein. It’s a food that provides energy and support for the digestion.

In combination with other vegetables in the diet, corn is an excellent source of proteins, carbohydrates, and vitamins. It is rich in fiber which helps lower cholesterol. Corn is an excellent and basic food source. It provides energy at a low cost of calories. In corn you have thiamin, one of the B-complex y vitamins, which is essential for transforming food into energy. The low content of corn is both polyunsaturated and monounsaturated, which is healthier than the saturated kind that is found in meat or whole milk.

EGGS

Eggs contain a host of vitamins: K, B, B12, D and proteins. Egg shells, left in water overnight, is a quality organic fertilizer. The white of the egg comprises 57% of the whole, and is largely comprised of water and proteins.

GRAPEFRUIT

ORANGE

PAPAYA

One important study has revealed that consumers of seafood –in contrast to strict vegetarians- have higher concentrations omega 3 acids (which are good friends to the heart and blood vessel) and significantly lower levels of cholesterol and triglycerides.

Besides protecting the heart, seafood is an incredibly rich source of vitamins, for example contains quit a lot of B12, and essential minerals that are important to good health.

It is a telling fact that some elderly people who have been diagnosed with a condition of senility have been treated with B12 with positive results.
