Refried Beans Recipe

  • ¾ cup of lard or 1 cup of sunflower oil
  • ½ white onion finely diced
  • 3 cups cooked beans (mashed)
  • 1 cup bean broth
  • Salt added to taste
  • Cheddar grated cheese added according to taste (optional)
  • 10-12 tortilla chips to adorn (optional)
  1. Fry the onion in hot grease until golden in color.
  2. Add the mashed beans in its broth and season with salt.
  3. Keep frying until the mass becomes solid and you are able to see the bottom of the skillet.
  4. Remove from heat and place refried beans on a serving dish.
  5. Spread the grated cheese on top and adorn with tortilla chips.
